Ngorongoro Lodge is part of the Meliá collection and stands on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Location and access

The lodge is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, about twenty kilometres from the crater floor, approximately 28 km from Lake Magadi and 44 km from the Olduvai Gorge museum, a key site for palaeoanthropology. From Arusha, expect around 190 km, or roughly 4 hours by road depending on track conditions. To save time, a domestic flight from Arusha or Kilimanjaro to the Lake Manyara airstrip significantly reduces the final transfer.

What to combine nearby

The lodge fits into a classic northern Tanzanie circuit.
