When to visit Tanzania?
Tanzania can be visited almost year-round, but each season tells a different story. From June to October, the dry season unveils a clear sky over the Serengeti and Ngorongoro: this is the most sought-after period for observing wildlife around water points. The months of January and February, warmer, coincide with the wildebeest calving in the southern Serengeti, a prime time for those dreaming of big predators. The long rains of April-May deter some travelers; we appreciate them for their lush landscapes and quieter lodges. As for Zanzibar, it's best to avoid April. For Kilimanjaro, January-February and September offer the best climbing windows.
