Between savanna, coastal villages and Indian Ocean beaches, this journey invites you to discover another facet of Tanzanie, far from the most frequented routes. From landscapes marked by wild nature to coastal regions steeped in history, you explore the parks of southern Tanzanie before heading to the island of Zanzibar.
Throughout the circuit, you observe African wildlife in varied environments, from the plains of Mikumi National Park to the shores of Nyerere National Park. Safaris, nature walks and bush camps offer a progressive immersion in the landscapes of southern Tanzanie.
The journey then continues to Zanzibar, between white sand beaches, fishing villages and discovery of Stone Town. This circuit combines adventure, wildlife observation, pristine nature and relaxation by the ocean for a complete experience between Tanzanie and the island of Zanzibar.

Departure for Dar es Salaam
Paris → Dar Es Salaam
You embark on a night flight departing from Paris to Dar Es Salaam, the starting point of your trip to Tanzanie.
Welcome to Tanzanie
Upon your arrival at Dar es Salaam international airport, the Galago team welcomes you and then accompanies you for a transfer to Bagamoyo, located north of the former capital. Along the way, you will be able to see several historical sites, including the first Catholic church in East Africa and the old fort.
You spend the night camping by the sea. The day is free for you to relax and discover the surroundings.
Saadani Reserve, a jewel of nature at the edge of the Indian Ocean
Bagamoyo → Parc National Saadani
You head north towards the Saadani Reserve, a natural park where wildlife moves between savanna and coastal areas. In this unique environment, it is possible to observe giraffes or elephants moving near the beaches.
Dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the reserve.

You leave the Saadani National Park via the track before joining the main road.
You then head towards the Mikumi National Park to the south crossing landscapes made up of hills and vast sisal plantations.
At the end of the day, you settle in a campsite located near the reserve for the night.
Mikumi National Park
Armed with your cameras, you set off for a safari day in the Mikumi National Park. This reserve, neighboring Selous park, is home to varied wildlife that you observe in its natural habitat.
As you explore, you may spot elephants, felines, buffalo, hippopotamuses and African wild dogs.
At the end of the day, you return to the camp for the night.
Heading south
Le parc national de Mikumi → Morogoro
Back on the road, you head towards Morogoro, a mountainous region with marked relief and few visitors. You then turn onto a track before continuing due south towards Selous National Park.
Along the way, you cross banana plantations and coconut groves. The track also takes you through a few traditional villages, in a landscape dotted with rocks with silvery reflections.
At the end of the day, you set up camp in the bush for the night.
Nyerere National Park
Morogoro → Parc national de Nyerere
You enter through the north gate of the Nyerere National Park. You discover the landscapes and wildlife of this Selous region by reaching your camp situated on the shores of Lake Tagalala.
This site, bordered by ancient acacias, offers a setting conducive to observing the wildlife that frequents the lake's edges. A ranger accompanies you to ensure the smooth running of your exploration.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Nyerere National Park
Start the day with a morning walk, followed by breakfast at camp. The morning continues with a relaxation time at the campsite before departing for a photo safari in a 4x4 in the afternoon.
During the day, you also enjoy a swim at the hot spring before returning to camp for a hike dedicated to observing wildlife and flora.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
Park exit
You break camp and then cross the park towards the east gate. Along the way, lunch is planned by a lake, in an environment frequented by wildlife.
At the exit of the park, you settle into a camp located on the banks of the Rufiji River. Weather permitting, a boat outing allows you to observe wildlife and meet the villagers.

Return to Dar Es Salaam
Parc national de Nyerere → Dar Es Salaam
Early morning return to Dar Es Salaam.
Upon arrival, you will check in at the Rainbow Hotel, located in the city center near the port.
The evening is free for you to discover the city at your own pace.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Zanzibar – East Coast
Dar Es Salaam → Départ
Early morning transfer on foot to the port, then departure by boat to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival, you are welcomed by our team before a transfer to the east coast of the island.
You spend the night in a bungalow on the beach of Jambiani.
Beach Pleasures on the Spice Island
Stone Town, the Old Town
Transfer to the old town (Stone Town) with a stop at Josani Forest for a walk in the humid forest and discovery of the mangrove. You will be able to observe red colobus monkeys before continuing your journey to the city and settling into your hotel.
In the afternoon, you participate in a guided tour of the city for approximately three hours. Night at the hotel.

Free lunch and last opportunity to enjoy your free time or do some shopping before the transfer to the airport for your international flight scheduled at 3:30 PM.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

Passport
To enter Tanzania, your passport must be valid for at least six months after your date of entry into the country and must have at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Visa
A visa is required to enter Tanzania.
This visa can be obtained in two ways:
online, via the official Tanzanian government portal (eVisa), before departure — strongly recommended solution,
on arrival at certain entry points (visa on arrival), although this option is subject to conditions and may change.
The tourist visa generally permits a stay of up to 90 days. Visa fees are applicable and must be paid when applying.
Authorities may request:
an outbound travel document (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
an accommodation reservation.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccinations are officially mandatory to enter Tanzania, except yellow fever vaccination if you are arriving from a country where this disease is endemic. In this case, the international vaccination certificate (yellow booklet) will be required upon entry.
Additionally, several vaccinations and preventive measures are strongly recommended:
antimalarial prophylaxis: Tanzania is an area at risk of malaria, preventive treatment is advised,
vaccinations against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and tetanus,
vaccination against rabies recommended if you will be active in rural areas or in contact with animals.
Consult a doctor or international vaccination centre before your departure.
Travelling with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay, as well as their own visa.
In some countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorisation may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
